| Description | This dataset contains proteomics mass spectrometry raw data from an N-terminomics analysis of HEK293 DPP9 knockout cells. The study investigates DPP9-dependent processing of lysosomal cathepsins after lysosomal membrane permeabilisation, identifying mature CTSZ as a DPP9 substrate. The data support the discovery of DPP9-mediated removal of N-terminal dipeptides from cathepsins, exposing destabilising N-degrons that promote cathepsin degradation and protect cells from toxic non-lysosomal cathepsin accumulation. |
