| Description | Here, we established a laser microdissection coupled with liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LM-LC-MS/MS) strategy to characterize the layer-resolved protein composition across concentric regions of the silk lumen (DaZao). A total of 245 proteins identified from 1334 unique peptides revealed distinct yet continuous compositional gradients along the radial axis of the silk lumen. |
