Dataset Summary
TitleEnvironmental Stress Reveals Multi-Layered Proteome Rebalancing in Arabidopsis thaliana Seeds
Descriptionhis study investigates how Arabidopsis thaliana seeds integrate genetic and environmental stress during development. We analyzed wild-type (WT) and cruabc triple seed-storage-protein (SSP) mutants to test whether proteome rebalancing—the ability to maintain overall amino acid and protein composition despite loss of SSPs—persists under additional stress. Plants were subjected to low nitrogen, high nitrogen, or drought treatments applied exclusively during seed filling. We measured seed physiological traits, carbon and nitrogen content, fatty-acid composition, free and protein-bound amino acids, and performed DIA-based total proteomics.
