PXD062481 is an original dataset announced via ProteomeXchange.

Dataset Summary
TitleProteome of the six eyes sand-spider Sicarius thomisoides venom
DescriptionThe six-eyed sand spider, Sicarius thomisoides, belongs to the Sicariidae family, whose venoms have recently been recognized for having a high toxic potential, similar to what has been demonstrated for the venom of spiders in the Loxosceles genus. However, with the exception of phospholipase D toxins previously reported in the venom of several species of the genus Sicarius, it is unknown which additional protein components are part of the venom of these spiders. The aim of the project was to characterize the venom proteome of the Chilean spider Sicarius thomisoides. For this the complete venom of adult and nymphs specimens captured at the desert of Chile were collected through electrostimulation and subsequently subjected to liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis. The proteome data will be analyzed and deposited in a mass spectrometry proteomics database.
