Title	The VIR-associated proteins were identified by LC-MS/MS
Description	7-day-old Col-0 seedlings were collected, and 2 g of tissue was ground to a fine powder in liquid nitrogen and homogenized in 2 ml of lysis buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, 2.5 mM MgCl2, 100 mM KCl, 0.1% [v/v] Nonidet P-40, 1 μg/ml leupeptin, 1 μg/ml aprotonin, 0.5 mM phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride, one tablet of Complete proteinase inhibitor [Roche], and 50 units/ml RNase OUT [Invitrogen]). The lysate was incubated on ice for 5 min and centrifuged at 13,000 g for 10 min at 4°C to pellet cell debris. Clarified lysates were subjected to immunoprecipitation with anti-VIR antibody or normal rabbit IgG (#2729, Cell Signaling Technology, USA) bound to protein A agarose (Sigma-Aldrich)
