Dataset Summary
| Title | The mouse kidney macrophage proteome |
| Description | Macrophages are innate immune cells that play crucial roles in dampening inflammation and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Macrophages are influenced by their tissue microenvironment, but it is still unclear how these cells contribute to distinct extracellular matrix compartments within the kidney. In this project, we defined three transcriptionally and phenotypically distinct kidney macrophage subsets that express transcripts and proteins for extracellular matrix at steady state, indicating a potential and novel role in maintaining or repairing tissue integrity. |
