The indica variety 93-11 exhibited stronger heat tolerance than japonica variety ZH11. Therefore, we performed a label‑free quantitative proteomic analysis on the indica cultivar 93‑11 and the japonica cultivar ZH11 under heat stress conditions. This study aimed to characterize the protein profiles of the two rice cultivars under high temperature stress. We also sought to reveal the differences in protein expression changes between japonica and indica rice.
