For seeds exhibiting markedly decreased or elevated viability following cryopreservation, we supplemented exogenous cytoskeleton modulators (the microfilament disruptor cytochalasin B and stabilizer penicillamine) and microtubule-targeted regulators (the microtubule disruptor oryzalin and stabilizer paclitaxel). Subsequent observations of seed protein responses were conducted to elucidate how cytoskeletal remodeling mediates seed cryopreservation outcomes.
