Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular parasite that resides within a parasitophorous vacuole and secretes effector proteins that remodel the host cell. This dataset supports a study of the parasite effector EAF1 (TGGT1_225160), investigated as a candidate factor that recruit the host endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) machinery to the parasitophorous vacuole membrane (PVM). Affinity purification was performed on epitope-tagged EAF1, with untagged wild-type and GRA35-HA parasites as controls, followed by quantitative data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry to define co-purifying host and parasite proteins. Comparative analysis of the tagged and control purifications was used to identify candidate interaction partners, with particular attention to components of the ESCRT-I subcomplex. The dataset comprises the mass spectrometer raw files, the Spectronaut search output, the protein sequence databases used, and the associated quality control, normalisation, and differential abundance results.
