Digesting Burmese pythons display increased cardiac mass and function in response to a drastic elevation in metabolic demands. DIA proteome and PTM analyses (ubiquitinome, phosphoproteome, and acetylome) were used to characterize molecular changes in heart tissue at the peak of digestion (3 days post-feeding). We studied the responses to normal (one meal per month) and frequent (eight meals per month) feeding intervals.
