This dataset contains multi-omics and neurobiological data from a study demonstrating that xylitol ameliorates ASD-like phenotypes in mutant mice via the gut-brain axis. It includes gut microbiota (16S) and targeted metabolomics data showing restoration of microbial and neurotransmitter balance, alongside data on improved social behavior, synaptic morphology, and neuronal activity.
