In our study, we demonstrated that the supernatant components secreted by hepatocytes are capable of activating hepatic stellate cells and promoting their differentiation into myofibroblasts. To identify the secretome regulated by DDX49 in hepatocytes, primary liver cells isolated from both control and DDX49-knockout mice were subjected to OA/PA stimulation for 24 hours. Subsequently, the conditioned media were collected and subjected to 10X high-depth proteomic quantitative analysis.
