Silicosis is a devastating occupational lung disease characterized by chronic inflammation and diffuse interstitial fibrosis. Previous studies have shown that miRNA imbalance contributes to silicosis progression, however, the role of miR-214-3p in silicosis is largely unknown. In this study, we performed proteomics analysis of macrophage transfected with miR-NC or miR-214-3p after silica dust exposure for 36 hours, to analyze the effect of miR-214-3p overexpression on SiO2-induced macrophage inflammation.
