Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a positive sense RNA virus belonging to the Flaviviridae family and Hepacivirus genus with a genome size of approximately 9.6kb. Error-prone RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (NS5B gene) activity of HCV has led to the emergence of 8 genotypes and more than 82 subtypes. Presently, Direct acting antivirals (DAAs) are considered a game-changer in HCV treatment with high efficacy rate of almost 94-97%. The risk of virologic failure after DAAs treatment is nearly 3-6%. Research indicates several factors, including both host and viral factors in determining treatment outcome. This study aimed to identify differential protein expression profile between HCV DAAs treatment responder and non-responder in minimally invasive sample.
