Dataset Summary
Title | Mass spectrometry-based profiling of HDF, HDF Vim -/-, and their EVs, and the impact of these EVs on MCF7 and MCF10A proteomes |
Description | Vimentin is a well-established intracellular regulator of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Recent studies have highlighted the role of extracellular vimentin from fibroblast-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) in promoting wound healing and other functions. Building on these findings, we investigated the protein cargo of wild-type (WT) and vimentin-knockout (Vim -/-) human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) and their EVs, aiming to determine whether extracellular vimentin influences EMT. Additionally, we assessed the impact of EVs from WT and Vim -/- HDFs on the proteomes of MCF7 and MCF10A cells |
