Mastitis is an inflammatory disease and negatively affects milk quality and quantity. S-Allylmercaptocysteine (SAMC) inhibits the LPS-induced production of IL-6 and activation of nuclear factor kappaB p65 subunit in cultured mammary epithelial HC11 cells. The global phosphoproteomic analysis revealed that SAMC decreased the phosphorylation level of proteins related to pre-mRNA splicing.
