To understand the molecular features associated with VZV infection in humans, we applied an orthogonal proteomic approach that assayed the interactions between VZV and its host in the neuroblastoma SK-N-BE2 cell line. First, we infected SK-N-BE2 cells with VZV rOka for 48 hours and analysed the induced proteome changes by liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
