This project focused on proteomics profiling in the roots of two wheat varieties (BARANI-70 and NARC-09) in a hydroponic experiment under arsenate stress. The results revealed a total of 67 differentially expressed proteins (DEPS) in BARANI-70 and 89 in the NARC-09 variety. The identified proteins were involved in various functional categories such as; transport, photosynthesis, response to stress, response to metal, metabolic process, and catabolic process. This project can assist in developing low-arsenic wheat varieties for the future to ensure sustainable production of crops and health safety.
