Jojoba is a woody oil crop with important economic value; however, jojoba is sensitive to low temperature stress, which hinders its cultivation in temperate arid regions. Apoplast is cellular component outside the plasma membrane of plant cells, and is widely involved in the response of plants to environmental stress. Here, we used the infiltration-centrifugation method to extract the apoplast fluid of jojoba leaves, and analyzed the changes in apoplast proteome of jojoba leaves after cold acclimation using quantitative proteomics.
