During discovery and development of protein-based drugs, extensive animal testing is required for preclinical analysis of pharmacokinetics, tissue biodistribution, toxicity, etc. Generally, several animals are required for testing a single drug. We show that the use of genetically encoded peptide barcodes, called flycodes, allows for the simultaneous preclinical assessment of dozens of antibodies from single cassette-dosed mice.
