Imterleukin-1 Receptor Associated Kinase 3 (IRAK3) acts as a negative regulator of interleukin-1 receptor and Toll-like receptors signalling by preventing dissociation of IRAKs from myddosome complex, therefore disabling production of proinflammatory cytokines. Since the molecular mode of IRAK3 action remains unclear, a large scale protein-protein interaction study has been undertaken to identify interactors of IRAK3 in human monocytes.
