PXD067447 is an original dataset announced via ProteomeXchange.

Dataset Summary
TitleAkkermansia muciniphila MucT – Polyphenols interactions.
DescriptionIt is known that polyphenols can promote a healthy gut microbiota balance, which is beneficial in preventing metabolic diseases. Particularly, proanthocyanidins (PACs), a prominent dietary polyphenol, have been found to selectively increase the relative abundance of A. muciniphila. This symbiotic microorganism is known for supporting metabolic, immune, and gastrointestinal health. This project delves into the molecular and metabolic adaptation of A. muciniphila to dietary PACs. It sheds light on novel signaling mechanisms related to iron acquisition and regulation of xenosiderophore uptake in the presence of dietary PACs.
