Title	Proteomic profiling of human myocardium from mechanical asphyxia and control deaths by data-independent acquisition (DIA) mass spectrometry
Description	This dataset comprises data-independent acquisition (DIA) mass spectrometry proteomic profiles of human left ventricular myocardial tissue obtained at forensic autopsy. Samples include mechanical-asphyxia cases and control groups (hemorrhagic shock and brain injury). Proteins were extracted, digested with trypsin, and analyzed on an Orbitrap Exploris 480 mass spectrometer in DIA mode; raw files were searched against the UniProt human proteome (Taxon ID 9606). The study aimed to identify candidate mitochondria-related protein markers (e.g., NDUFS8 and SUCLG1) associated with mechanical asphyxia to aid forensic determination of the cause of death.
