TitleProteomic analysis of differential proteins between PCOS and tubular infertility luteinized granulosa cells (GCs)
DescriptionPolycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent heterogeneous endocrine disorder affecting 10–20% of reproductive-aged women worldwide. To investigate its link to metabolic dysfunction, we compared granulosa cells (GCs) from eight PCOS patients and four controls (with tubular infertility) undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). Using high-resolution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), we identified 430 differentially expressed proteins. Gene ontology (GO) analysis revealed that metabolic processes were significantly enriched, constituting 7 of the top 13 pathways, thereby underscoring the central role of metabolic dysfunction in PCOS pathogenesis.
