PXD067961 is an original dataset announced via ProteomeXchange.

Dataset Summary
TitleSerum Proteomics of Plasmodium-infected free living macaques in Thailand
DescriptionDespite a global decline in malaria incidence over recent decades—attributable to advances in antimalarial drugs, vaccines, and preventive measures—zoonotic malaria has emerged as a significant public health concern, particularly in Southeast Asia. Rapid urbanization and deforestation have intensified human–wildlife interactions, especially with non-human primates (NHPs), thereby facilitating cross-species transmission of Plasmodium spp. Macaques serve as principal reservoirs for zoonotic malaria due to their evolutionary closeness to humans and extensive geographic distribution.
