PXD046425

PXD046425 is an original dataset announced via ProteomeXchange.

Dataset Summary
TitleIdentification of an alternative divisome complex in Salmonella
DescriptionUnlike most bacteria characterized to date at the level of proteins involved in cell division, Salmonella has two alternative penicillin-binding proteins (PBP3 and PBP3SAL) that can direct peptidoglycan synthesis independently to build a septum that separates daughter cells. PBP3SAL main feature is an activity restricted to acidic pH conditions. In this study, we have pulled-down the divisome complex in bacteria lacking either PBP3 or PBP3SAL and identified the proteins that are components of the complex.
