The protein UTP18 was consistently upregulated in the normal-adenoma-carcinoma sequence. In vitro experiments showed that knockdown of UTP18 suppressed proliferation, invasion, and migration of colorectal cancer cells, as well as inhibited tumorigenicity in nude mice. To investigate the regulatory mechanism of UTP18 on the phenotype of colorectal cancer cells, we performed quantitative proteomic analysis on CRC cells with UTP18 knockdown.
