Dataset Summary
TitleBacteria initiates inflammaging leading to degenerative disc disease- evidence from host defense mechanism
DescriptionInflammaging is an established cause of degenerative disc disease (DDD), the possible triggers being genetic, mechanical, or infective. With rising evidence of subclinical infection and dysbiosis as initiators of degeneration, this study was undertaken to investigate the sequential molecular events associated with bacteria-induced changes in the host leadingto Inflammaging and DDD. Our study has documented increasing evidence for bacteria's role in triggering the innate immune system leading to chronic inflammation and degeneration.
