Title	A proteomic landscape of macrophage in mouse tissues
Description	Macrophages, locating in essentially all tissues, are critical for innate immune responses and involved in the tissue homeostasis. Distinct macrophages populations in different tissues exhibited diverse gene expressions and biological processes. Previous studies have accessed the molecular signatures of macrophages in different tissues on transcriptome and epigenome level, while their proteomes remain poorly characterized. Here, we profiled the proteome patterns of 11 macrophage populations from 8 tissues and the cell line Raw264.7, through which 12,317 proteins were identified. The data analysis revealed significant diversities among different macrophages populations, especially between tissue resident and recruited macrophages. We constructed the hierarchical regulatory network and showed the specific transcription factors served as the connection hubs between macrophages and tissues. This study provides proteome landscape of macrophages and their residing tissues, rendering better understanding of the mechanism in the crosstalk between macrophages and tissues.
